ZIPPLEREM

A ONE ZIPPLEREM NOTE

A long time ago, when our heroes were very young, all three* were members of the Original Walmer Sixth form. They were meant to spend their 'free periods' doing private study, and such rubbish.

*Except For Rodger was off sick with migraines on the very first and very last day, so he never signed up, or signed out officially.

Instead they spent their time playing lots of great games, which one day you will be able to read about*

*When Iain writes the rules up on this website.

In the mean time, you will have to imagine them.

As well as 'Mobile Cricket', 'Sledging', 'The Chair Game' and all that, they made up a load more, many of which involved gambling - things like 'Niche Football' and in particular 'Horse Racing'.

So the lads invented a currency to insure that this was fair. Iain appointed himself 'Grand Chancellor' and everything went well. The mini economy flourished and we learnt a lot more from Iain than Mrs Plant ever taught us.

The currency was called ZIPPLEREM after 'ZIPPLEX' fishing line, and the great R.E.M.

ZIPPLEREM is still a valued monetary unit and goes a long way to explaining why Iain owns half of E-BAY.

It works like this:

3 'ZIPS' make 1 'REM'

3 'REM' make a 'ZIPPLEREM'

3 'BANANAS' equal a 'Pear' (VERY MUCH LIKE THE HAND OF "COD")

But as usual 3 'NICHE' would beat all 3.

(ZIPPLEREM is valued in Deal, Deal Island, Dresden and much of Hansa).
